Artist Statement

I am a painter, working mostly in oil and charcoal. I like to observe the facts and phenomena around me, like a scientist. I focus on a quiet sensation through light and integrate my emotions into the sensory moments, seeking to create a beautiful accident with my brush strokes. My work investigates poetic sentiments by harmonizing my inner voice with visual sensation. Nature provides sensational moments: Logical but also spontaneous. Observing nature begins the process of knowing the world and myself. I look for these discoveries and understanding through my art.
